Group Critical Illness Insurance (CIB) provides a lump sum benefit when the Insured Employee is diagnosed with any one of the critical illnesses listed below during the period of insurance. It is also a 24-hour worldwide cover for your employees.
Pays a lump sum amount (sum insured) when the Insured Employee is diagnosed with any one of the following Critical Illnesses.

| 3. Major Organ / Bone Marrow Transplant | 18. Motor Neurone Disease |
| 4. Multiple Sclerosis | 19. HIV |
| 5. Paralysis (Loss of use of limbs) | 20. Parkinson's Disease |
| 6. Coma | 21. End stage Liver Failure |
| 7. Encephalitis | 22. End stage Lung Failure |
| 8. Terminal Illness | 23. Major Head Trauma |
| 9. Blindness (Loss of sight) | 24. Aplastic Anaemia |
| 10. Heart Valve Surgery | 25. Muscular Dystrophy |
| 11. Deafness (Loss of hearing) | 26. Apallic Syndrome |
| 12. Surgery to Aorta | 27. Benign Brain Tumour |
| 13. Loss Of Speech | 28. Coronary Artery Bypass Surgery |
| 14. Primary Pulmonary Hypertension | 29. Major Cancers |
| 15. Fulminant Hepatitis | 30. Heart Attack |
The entry age of the Insured Employee must be from 16 to 65 years at next birthday. The Insured Employee must be working on a full-time basis and gainfully employed, and have satisfied all other eligibility criteria set by the Employer.
There are certain conditions under which no benefits will be payable. These are stated as exclusions in the policy contract. The following is a list of some of the exclusions for this plan. The exclusions for this plan include, but are not limited to, the following conditions. You are advised to read the policy contract for the full list of exclusions.
Pre-existing conditions
The critical Illness Benefits will not be payable regardless whether the Insured Member is accepted within Free Cover Limit or under other terms of acceptance in writing if the Insured Member has received medical treatment or sought medical attention prior to the start of his cover for any of the following specified medical conditions in relation to each critical illness:
• Heart attack, coronary artery bypass surgery, stroke or renal failure
Medical conditions: circulatory disease or disorders, hypertension, diabetes, kidney or urinary tract diseases or disorders.
• Major cancers
Medical conditions: malignant, early malignant or pre-malignant tumour or condition.
• Major organ / bone marrow transplantation
Medical conditions: leukaemia, aplastic or hypoplastic anaemia, immunological defects or disease or disorders of the bone marrow, heart, lung, liver, kidney or pancreas.
Unless the Insured Employee has been insured under the Policy for at least two consecutive years and has not received any medical treatment or advice for at least two consecutive years from the start of his cover for such specified medical conditions in relation to each critical illness.
The Critical Illness Benefit will not be payable for Heart Attack, Major Cancers or Coronary Artery By-pass Surgery if the diagnosis of the Heart Attack or Major Cancers was made or if the Insured Member was advised to undergo Coronary Artery By-pass Surgery in the first ninety (90) days from the Commencement Date of his cover or the effective date of an increase in the cover.
