We will be changing the name of the ILP sub-fund HSBC-Link Ethical Capital Protected Fund to HSBC-Link Ethical Managed Fund on or around 21 November 2011. There will be no change to the investment objectives, focus and approach of this ILP sub-fund as a result of the aforementioned change.

Under these funds, resources also go towards halal avenues. At the end of each year, excess funds are distributed between the participants and HSBC Insurance on a 50/50 ratio. Purification is achieved by deducting 5% of all dividends earned by the fund for charity.
